           Portable and Fixed Ice Generation

            We provide our clients ice for all industrial applications with highly customizable equipment designed and manufactured by our engineers. Growers Ice has developed and refined an extensive array of high-volume and energy efficient systems for the generation of ice and ice slurry. Our innovative portable SCAT (Self Contained Automatic Trailer) combines a self contained ice generator and refrigeration system on a single trailer and is capable of producing up to 200 tons of ice per day. The use of thermal efficient aluminum, the reverse flow of heated gases to eject ice, and precisely engineered configurations are just a few of the ways Growers Ice gives its clients more ice for their investment.

 

            Ice Storage

           Our custom storage system designs enable clients to reduce waste and energy costs while meeting peak cooling system demand. Depending on our client’s needs, Growers Ice offers simple and affordable solutions for low or high volume ice storage with our Portable Walking Floor, Automatic Bin Fill, and Ice Cube systems, all designed for the ease of one day setup and customizable capacity. We also provide custom rake, walking floor, bin storage, and other dedicated ice storage facilities for up to 400 ton capacities.

 

           Ice Injection

            Our ice injectors can supply the right amount of ice to our clients whether they need to hand inject a few thousand cartons daily or need automated icing of 500 pallets or more per day. Growers Ice high volume ice injectors are radio controlled, fully automatic, and can ice an entire pallet in about 30 seconds. For smaller volume needs our Microsquirt handheld ice injector provides an affordable and cost-effective solution that can be easily modified for larger output.

           

           Refrigeration

            Growers Ice specializes in reconfiguring and customizing industry standard refrigeration components for increased portability and reduced energy consumption. Our engineers work with our clients on application specific designs to meet their particular refrigeration needs.

 

           Hydrocooling

            We can meet any client’s batch or continuous flow hydrocooling requirement using ice fired or mechanical refrigeration technology and cover all ranges of production volumes. Our innovative sump design minimizes water use, energy costs, and operating expenses while meeting peak hydrocooling demand. Growers Ice provides customized hydrocoolers for carton, palletized, or bulk production. Our total immersion hydrocoolers ensure even cooling of inner pallet cartons for more consistent and reliable fresh product quality.

           

           Forced Air Pressure Cooling

In applications where dry cooling is required, Growers Ice offers a wide variety of forced air pressure cooling alternatives to our clients. Our pressure coolers incorporate improved fan mechanisms that are smaller, quieter, and less expensive to operate than traditional forced air refrigeration equipment. We design and build modular units, portable systems, and customized built-in equipment for larger cooling facilities.

 

Vacuum Cooling

Growers Ice uses cutting edge design and construction techniques to build our vacuum cooling systems. Corrugated chamber walls and modular panels reduce weight and construction costs and make our advanced vacuum cooling systems a practical alternative for growers and shippers of all sizes.
